Sales Process

  1. RTA is offering 23 metro stations and 2 lines for Naming Rights.

  2. Following the Press Conference, the sales process will start.

  3. The companies will be able to formally submit an RFI via the RTA website (here).

  4. The Business Community Presentation will take place two weeks after the Press Conference.

  5. From 16/4/2008 until 17/6/2008  RTA will go through the RFI‘s to evaluate if the companies have met the selection criteria.

  6. If the criteria are not met, the process is over and the company is informed.

  7. If the criteria are met, an informative meeting will be arranged.

  8. This will take place on first-in-first-call basis where the naming rights opportunity will be explained in further details.

  9. A grace period, starting after the Business Community Presentation until 17/6/2008, will be given to companies to submit their EOI (Expression of Interest)

  10. After 17/6/2008 the received EOI´s will be collated.

  11. Immediately after this deadline the RTA's Negotiations Committee evaluates EOI’s and starts negotiating with those companies EXCLUSIVELY
Each company has a four week window till 15/7/2008 to conclude a deal.
Negotiations may run after this date but the exclusivity window is lost.

  12. In conjunction with each EOI a company must submit a Bid Bond

  13. Companies that missed the original deadline of 17/6/2008 can still submit an EOI at any point of time but must wait until 15/7/2008 before negotiations can be opened with the RTA.

  14. After those companies with exclusivity have been considered, the RTA is free to continuously negotiate on NON-EXCLUSIVE basis with other companies who submit an EOI at any time during the sales phase. This will be an ongoing process until all the stations and lines are sold.
