  • How do I apply?
    • The process starts by submitting the RFI  via RTA Metro website (www.rta.ae). For further info about the Sales Process see  “Sales Process” page here.

  • Who is going to be excluded from bidding?
    • Companies whose policies, products or principles conflict with those of existing Dubai trade laws and regulations, as well as culture and values of UAE. See “Selection Criteria” page.

  • Why should I fill the RFI form? Can I send just an email?
    • RTA, as a public administration organization, needs to be absolutely transparent in its procedures, and get equal access to any company. To keep this transparency, the website includes the RFI form, which needs to be submitted electronically to RTA. Therefore, a code will be automatically generated taking into account the date of time the company submits the RFI. A first-in-first-call basis process will be activated to call companies to arrange informative meetings. The code generated through the RFI submission process will become the code to use along the whole process

  • Where to submit the EOI? What documents do I need to provide?
    • EOI’s must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to Contracts & Purchasing Department, Roads & Transport Authority, P.O. Box 118899 Dubai, UAE. For further info about the Sales Process see  “Sales Process” page here.
    • Apart from the EOI, the company should submit a Bid Bond, as well as audited financial statements.

  • If it’s not a bidding process how do you determine who gets the station?
    • There is a list of criteria that all interested parties will go through to determine the most suitable brands for the selected locations and the use of corporate branding will be carefully managed to prevent any over- commercialization. Then, a negotiation phase will start right after the company submits its EOI and a bid bond. See Sales Process chart for further information

  • Do you have any preferred bidders?
    • No

  • Who makes the decisions?
    • A committee within the RTA
